Where do the asylum seekers sleep? Why do Iranians have illegal satellite dishes? How limited is the media that informs us about conflicts? Why do countries have borders? How is the islam in the Netherlands represented? Just a few examples of questions I researched in my projects.
My name is Lou Muuse, I'm an interactive storyteller from the Netherlands. My subjects of interest respond on urgent debates in society. My curiosity triggers questions, these activate my inspiration and are a starting point for new projects. With my journalistic approach I visualise my anthropological observations, with this I try to create new perspectives, to pull the viewer beyond their prejudice.
I mainly work with interactivity and multimedia storytelling to create education based projects. My visual tools are still and moving images. I use mapping strategies, data visualisation and virtual reality to give the users a clear inside of the topic. I always create these in collaboration with a graphic designers or illustrators.
This all because of my vision that knowledge creates understanding.
